1. WHAT IS BEPANTHEN PLUS CREAM AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
The active ingredient dexpanthenol is rapidly converted in the cells into pantothenic acid, which is a vitamin of the B-complex. Pantothenic acid is indispensable for the development and regeneration of skin and mucous membranes.
The active ingredient chlorhexidine dihydrochloride is a well-known and well-tolerated disinfectant. It kills the bacteria that are mainly responsible for skin infections.
Bepanthen Plus Creme is used to treat superficial wounds of all kinds when there is a risk of infection: e.g. abrasions, cuts, scratches and burns.
How is it applied?

The active ingredient dexpanthenol is rapidly converted in the cells into pantothenic acid, which is a vitamin of the B-complex. Pantothenic acid is indispensable for the build-up and regeneration of skin and mucous membranes.
The active ingredient chlorhexidine dihydrochloride is a well-known and well-tolerated disinfectant. It kills those bacteria that are mainly responsible for infections of the skin.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

Bepanthen Plus Creme should not be used on deep wounds, lower leg ulcers (leg ulcers) and under impermeable dressings.
Avoid Bepanthen Plus Creme coming into contact with eyes, ears and mucous membranes.
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve, consult a doctor.
For the treatment of skin irritation that is not at risk of infection (e.g. sunburn), Bepanthen Plus Creme should not be used; in these cases, the use of Bepanthen Creme is recommended.
The ingredients wool wax, cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol may cause localised skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
Use of Bepanthen Plus Cream with other medicinesInform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or do not intend to use any other medicines.
Bepanthen Plus Cream must not be used at the same time as other disinfectants as well as soaps.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Bepanthen Plus Creme should not be used on large areas during pregnancy. Breast-feeding women should not apply Bepanthen Plus Creme to the breast area or to large areas.
Do not drive or use machinery
Bepanthen Plus Creme has no effect on the ability to drive or use machinery.
How should the medicine be taken?
HOW TO USE BEPANTHEN PLUS CREAM?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Bepanthen Plus Creme can be applied to the cleansed wound or inflamed areas of skin one to several times a day as required. The duration of use depends on the type and course of the disease and, according to experience, is approx. 1 -2 weeks. Avoid application to large areas of skin.
Use in children and adolescents:
Bepanthen Plus Creme is suitable for use in infants.

Do not store above 25°C.
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Shelf life after first opening of the tube: 1 year
Do not dispose of medicinal products in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In doing so, they contribute to the protection of the environment.

What Bepanthen Plus Cream contains
- The active ingredients are: 1 g Bepanthen Plus Creme contains as active ingredients 50 mg (= 5%) Dexpanthenol and 5 mg (= 0.5%) Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride
- The other ingredients are: White petrolatum, liquid paraffin, lanolin (E 913), macrogol stearate-1800, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, DL-pantolactone, purified water
.What Bepanthen Plus Cream looks like and contents of the pack
This medicinal product is an opaque pale yellowish, homogeneous cream for external use. The packaging consists of a collapsible aluminium tube with a white cap, pack size 30g.
