Ingredients
Anti Brumm® Tick Stop contains the active ingredients Icaridin (15%) and Citriodiol® (7.8%). These active ingredients effectively keep ticks away by interfering with their olfactory system (sense of smell).
In this way, Anti Brumm® Tick Stop protects for up to 6 hours against tick bites (also known colloquially as "tick bites") and thus also against the transmission of diseases such as TBE (early summer meningoencephalitis) and Lyme disease.
Icaridin and Citriodiol® - the active ingredients in detail
Icaridin: ◾Very good skin tolerance
◾Classified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as particularly effective
◾Comparable to DEET in terms of effectiveness
◾Protects against mosquitoes and ticks
Citriodiol®:
◾Natural mixture of active ingredients
◾Gained from the extract of a species of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus citriodora) native to China
◾Protects against ticks, flies and mosquito bites
.After applying Anti Brumm® Tick Stop, a thin coat of scent is created on the skin or clothing due to the very slow evaporation.
Anti Brumm® Tick Stop - tested against various tick species
Anti Brumm® Tick Stop has been successfully tested against various tick species at the University of Neuchâtel.
Conclusion: Against the "common wood tick" (Ixodes ricinus), the anti-tick product is effective for up to 6 hours. This effectively repels the most common tick species, which transmits the TBE virus and Lyme disease bacteria (the pathogen that causes Lyme disease), among other things. The common wood tick is mainly distributed in Europe.
Even the taiga tick (Ixodes persulvatus) native to Eastern Europe - carrier of the Russian form of early summer meningo encephalitis (RSSE) - keeps Anti Brumm® Tick Stop at bay for up to 4 hours. Hazard labelling:
Many consumers are confused by the hazard symbol that appears on the packaging of Anti Brumm® Zecken Stopp. It should be noted at this point that hazard labelling is based on a legal obligation. This is because insect repellents are classified as biocides, for which the display of a corresponding symbol is prescribed by law - also in the sense of comprehensive consumer protection.
Anti Brumm® Tick Stop has good skin compatibility and has been dermatologically tested.
