Allegra contains fexofenadine hydrochloride; this active substance is an antihistamine.
Allegra 120 mg is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over to relieve the symptoms associated with hay fever (known as "seasonal allergic rhinitis"). These symptoms include sneezing, an itchy, runny or blocked nose, and itchy, red and watery eyes.

Allegra must not be taken,
- If you are allergic to fexofenadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. .

- If you have or have ever had heart disease, medicines of this type may cause a rapid or irregular heartbeat .

Adults and children aged 12 years and over
The recommended dose is 1 tablet (120 mg) daily.
Take your tablet with water before a meal.
This medicine starts to relieve your symptoms within one hour and the duration of action is 24 hours.
If you have taken more Allegra than you should
If you have taken too many tablets, see your doctor or the emergency room of the nearest hospital immediately. Signs of overdose in adults include dizziness, lightheadedness, tiredness and a dry mouth.
If you forget to take Allegra
Do not take double the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.
Take your next dose at the usual time as prescribed by your doctor.
If you stop taking Allegra
Talk to your doctor if you want to stop taking Allegra before the end of treatment. If you stop the treatment earlier than planned, your symptoms may return.
If you have any further questions about taking this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

What Allegra 120 mg contains
- The active substance is: fexofenadine hydrochloride. Each tablet contains 120 mg
fexofenadine hydrochloride. - The other ingredients are:
- Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.
- Film coating: hypromellose, polyvidone, titanium dioxide (E 171), highly dispersed silicon dioxide, macrogol 400 and iron oxide (E 172).
Allegra 120 mg film-coated tablets are peach-coloured, capsule-shaped tablets engraved with "012" on one side and "e" on the other.
Allegra is offered in blister packs. Each tablet is blistered.
Allegra is available in packs of 2 (sample packs only), 7, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 100 and 200 (as a
10 x 20) tablets available.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
Available in Austria: 10 and 30 film-coated tablets.
