What are neo-angin cherry sugar-free pastilles and what are they used for?Neo-angin cherry is an antiseptic medicine for the mouth and throat.
neo-angin cherry are pastilles for use in sore throats, pharyngitis, hoarseness, colds, sore throat, inflammation of the mouth and throat (pharyngitis) and gums in adults, adolescents and children from the age of six.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 3-4 days, consult your doctor.

Neo-angin cherry is an antiseptic medicine for the mouth and throat.
neo-angin cherry are pastilles for use in sore throats, pharyngitis, hoarseness, colds, angina, inflammation of the mouth and throat (pharyngitis) and gums in adults, adolescents and children from the age of six.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 3-4 days, consult your doctor.
What should you pay attention to before taking it?
What should you be aware of before using neo-angin cherry sugar-free - pastilles?
neo-angin cherry must not be used,
- if you are allergic to 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, amylmetacresol, levomenthol or
any of the other ingredients listed in section 6. other ingredients of this medicine mentioned in section 6.
- in patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with marked hypersensitivity of the airways. Inhalation of neo-
angin cherry may cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.
- in children under 6 years of age.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using neo-angin cherry.
Children
neo-angin cherry must not be used in children under six years of age. For the
use of neo-angin cherry, children must be able to suck pastilles in a controlled manner.
Use of neo-angin Cherry Sugar Free - Pastilles with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines.
Interactions are not known.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
The use of neo-angin cherry is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
There are insufficient data for the use of neo-angin cherry sugar-free - pastilles in pregnant women. Due to lack of experience, risks to the unborn child cannot be excluded.
It is not known whether the active substances pass into breast milk.
neo-angin cherry contain isomalt (E 953), cochineal red A (E 124), benzyl alcohol and butylated hydroxyanisole (E 320)
Note for diabetics: One neo-angin cherry sugar-free lozenge contains 2.57 g of the sugar substitute isomalt per lozenge, which corresponds to a calorie value of 6 kcal (26 kJ).
Please only take neo-angin cherry after consulting your doctor if you are
known to suffer from a sugar intolerance.
Isomalt may have a mild laxative effect.
neo-angin cherry contains the colouring agent cochineal red A (E124), which may cause allergic reactions.
This medicine contains 1.05 mg of benzyl alcohol (component of cherry flavouring) in very small amounts per lozenge (2.6 g).
Benzyl alcohol may cause allergic reactions.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have liver or kidney disease, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice, as large amounts of benzyl alcohol may accumulate in your body and cause side effects (known as "metabolic acidosis").
The cherry flavouring in this medicinal product also contains butylated hydroxyanisole (E 320), which
may cause irritation of the mucous membranes.
How should the medicine be taken?
How to take neo-angin cherry sugar-free - pastilles?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Unless otherwise prescribed, adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and over should allow 1 lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth every 2-3 hours (maximum 6 lozenges per 24 hours).

a larger amount of neo-angin cherry sugar-free - pastilles than you should
To date, no case of overdose is known.
In the unlikely event of an overdose, the side effects described could be exacerbated. In this case, symptomatic treatment is recommended.
If you forget to use neo-angin cherry sugar-free - pastilles Do not use twice the amount if you have forgotten to use it before. Continue taking as usual.
